After the repair is done, the area is usually sanded to ensure it’s smooth and flush with the surrounding surface. Proper surface repair is essential for achieving a professional-looking finish, whether you’re painting, applying wallpaper, or leaving the drywall or plaster exposed.
Dents and Scratches: Before painting, small dents, scratches, or imperfections on the surface are filled using spackling paste or a suitable filler. Once dried, the area is sanded smooth.
Peeling Paint: Areas with peeling or flaking paint are scraped off, sanded, and then primed to ensure the new paint adheres properly.
